Dr. Grant is board certified in Family Medicine and is a resident of Forsyth, Georgia where he was born and raised.  After graduating from Mary Persons High School he attended The University of Georgia for his undergraduate degree before attaining his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in 1977.  Dr. Grant completed a residency in Family Practice at Roanoke Memorial Hospitals in Roanoke, Virginia.   He then returned to middle Georgia where he has been in private practice since 1980 with Forsyth Family Physicians and The Doctor’s Office, LLC in Forsyth.  Since 1982, Dr. Grant has been an Associate Professor at the Mercer University School of Medicine in the Department of Family Medicine.   He is also very involved in his community where he serves as a deacon at the First Baptist Church in Forsyth and is on the Monroe County Board of Health.  He also serves the community as an elected official where he is Chairman of the Monroe County Board of Education. 

Dr. Atkinson is the Medical Director at Macon Occupational Medicine.  He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry at Coe College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa and a Masters Degree in Genetics from the University of Missouri.  He received his Medical Degree from Emory University in Atlanta.  He is currently enrolled in the Masters in Public Health in Occupational Medicine Program at the University of Wisconsin.
