Leonard Bevill, CEO
Leonard Bevill is the
President and Chief Executive Officer of Macon Occupational
Medicine. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Recreational Therapy and a Master of Science Degree in
Exercise Science with an emphasis in Ergonomics and
Biomechanics from Georgia Southern University.
He has seventeen years of
experience in providing a variety of Occupational Health
programs to various business and industries locally,
regionally, and nationally. He has been recognized by the
National Association of Occupational Health Professionals
with a Certificate of Competency in Occupational Health
Practice Management. Leonard also has completed specialized
training in Ergonomics through completion of the Applied
Ergonomics Professional Residency Program. He has also
undergone training to obtain certificates as a Certified
Impairment Evaluation Specialist, Certified Work Capacity
Evaluator, Certified Work Rehabilitation Evaluator,
Certified Functional Capacity Evaluator, Certified
Functional Job Analysis Evaluator, Certified Pre-work
Screening Evaluator, Certified Breath Alcohol Technician,
and Certified Professional Collector.
Leonard currently serves as
the Chairman for the Board of Directors of the Better
Business Bureau of Central Georgia and The CRSA. He also
serves as the Treasure of the Board of Directors for the
Macon-Bibb County Convention and Visitors Bureau and as the
Sergeant of Arms for the Downtown Macon Rotary Club.
Leonard also serves on the Board of Directors for the
Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Macon, United
Way of Central Georgia, Good Vocations at Goodwill
Industries, and The Central Georgia Technical College
Foundation.
Leonard was recently name
to the 2007 list of Georgia’s “40 Under 40 – Best and
Brightest in Business, Education, Politics, Science and the
Arts” presented by Georgia Trend Magazine. Leonard is a graduate of the Leadership Macon’s Class of
2004 and was named to Macon Magazine’s “Five Under
Forty” list of up and coming Business Leader’s in Central
Georgia in 2005. Under Leonard’s leadership, Macon
Occupational Medicine was named the recipient of the
2004 Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award for Marketplace
Ethics and the 2005 Small Business of the Year by the
Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce. Macon Occupational
Medicine was also recently selected as the 2007 “Partner
in Economic Development” by the Macon Economic
Development Commission for it’s significant
contributions to the economic vitality of Central Georgia.
