Macon Occupational Medicine would like to thank our partners from Coca Cola, Academy, FedEx and Nichiha for joining us at the Macon Economic Development Commission and Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce 2017 Workforce Summit.
The Macon Economic Development Commission and the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce hosted the 2017 Workforce Summit Thursday, August 17 at the Goodwill Anderson Conference Center, on Eisenhower Parkway, in Macon.
“The purpose of this summit is to bring the business community and workforce partners together to create a more vibrant economy by seeking new ways to meet the needs of today’s and tomorrow’s students and workers,” said Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Mike Dyer.
The attendees learned about working with the Macon Transition Center’s Re-entry program to find employees and the tax advantages of utilizing that program. They also learned about programs designed to assist them in hiring veterans and have a chance to meet one on one with agencies and institutions that can connect them with student interns, apprentices and many other resources.”Leave a reply →
