Our physicians and other highly trained health care professionals at Macon Occupational Medicine provide comprehensive services from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at our 12,500-square-foot state of the art facility centrally located in downtown Macon, Georgia. The downtown location gives business and industry in Central Georgia easy access to high quality healthcare dedicated to keeping employees on the job. A 24-hour network is provided via coordination with local urgent care and emergency center facilities utilizing extensive protocols developed to keep employees on the job. All staff performing collections have undergone specialized training and credentialing to perform these services.
Preventative services and Post Offer screenings are an important part of controlling excessive workers’ compensation costs. The American with Disabilities Act (ADA) does allow an employer to screen qualified applicants to determine their ability to perform essential job functions.
According to the State of Georgia’s Workers’ Compensation Rules and Regulations, Impairment Ratings (PPD) are only to be calculated using the Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, American Medical Association, Fifth Edition.
